Chris Pinney

chrispenneyChris Pinney, age 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 8:11 AM at her residence. She was born on December 29, 1931 in Somerset, KY, to the late Ira J. Barron and Florence Myrtle (Nelson) Denney Barron.
She is survived by her very significant other, Hubert Cromwell of Arcanum, Ohio; daughters, Jacklyn (Merritt) Gallihugh of Virginia and Joy (Merritt) Krystosek and husband Philip of Virginia; grandsons, Justin, Joshua and Jacob Webb and their 10 children; sisters and brother in law, Ruth Poynter of Indianapolis, IN, Zelma Landess of Winchester, IN, and Arta & John Prescott of Saratoga, IN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Pinney and brothers, Orville Denney, Clinton Denney, Dennis Barron and Clyde Denney.
Chris was a member of the Arcanum Baptist Church and attended West Manchester United Methodist Church. She was affiliated with the Republican Women’s and loved jewelry, flowers, decorating and was a very tasteful and snappy dresser. She was a very generous person as she loved to give gifts and send random cards to her family and friends. She worked at NCR in Dayton as well as Fram in Greenville.
There will be a service held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Weimer Cemetery, Saratoga, Indiana. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all the caregivers that took extremely great care of Chris.
