Obituary
OBERER, Betty Jean age 87, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Bethany Village, Centerville, Ohio where she has resided for the last ten years. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell of 60 years and by her parents Victor and Marie Mahan. Betty is survived by her four sons, Daniel and wife Betsy, Nicholas and wife Sheila, William and wife Maureen, and Terrence and wife Mary; five grandchildren, Eric and wife Wendy, Nathan, Victoria, Susie, and Brian and five great-grandchildren, Kiley, Taylor, Cesar, Isaias, and Zachary. Betty was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served in many capacities. She served as a scout leader for over 20 years and loved crafting her entire life. Betty also enjoyed working beside her husband in the family florist business throughout life. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM. Reverend Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Bethany Village.
